Hello everyone, happy Friday!
In order not to deviate from the rule of recent weeks, the newsletter arrives a few days later. I have to apologize for not being consistent with the schedule I set myself when I started publishing. But life continues to be chaotic and, when I finally sit down, I haven’t had the patience necessary to write and bring you good (and interesting) content.
However, as promised, today I bring you my autumn wishlist. I have a little bit of everything on my wishlist. Do I need everything? No. Would I like to buy everything? Yes!
Zara waterproof short coat - This coat reminds me of a trench coat and, given my height, this coat size would be ideal for me. A traditional trench coat would “swallow me”.
Massimo Duti cardigan - red is on the streets and I’m really tempted to buy this coat (or a more affordable option) to add to my closet. It looks super comfortable, warm for days that are starting to get cold and the ideal touch of color for any outfit. Massimo Dutti is one of my favorite stores for the quality of their clothes and the incredible collections they launch every season.
Phyto Anti-frizz touch-up care - Almost every girl knows what a nightmare the rainy and humid days of the next two seasons are. No matter how much we comb it and try to give it new life, our hair takes on a life of its own against our will. I found this product in a beauty article and it seemed like a good solution for these days. There are no perfect solutions, but we can always try to minimize the damage.
Zara basic sweater with cashmere and wool - I saw Isa Hernaéz wearing this sweater, along with a Zara skirt in the same tone, and I fell in love. I love the color, it looks very comfortable and perfect for the new season. Considering the materials, it’s not a very affordable option, but it might be possible to find it in the winter sales at a good price.
Zara knitted top with flowers - This top seems like a great option for a dinner with friends or a night out. I love it for the color and details.
Viela ballerinas with studs - This Portuguese store has incredible and affordable options and I fell in love with these ballerinas when I saw them. I struggle a lot when I buy new shoes, especially when they’re not sneakers, but I think these ballerinas would be a great addition to any outfit.
Zara Home salted caramel diffuser sticks - this scent is one of the best from Zara Home. I get lost in the store every time I go there and this diffuser (and the candle with the same scent) won me over and I would really like to buy it to have here at home this autumn.
Susanne Kaufmann lip balm - One of the things I like to buy most is lipsticks for lip care (all without color, just moisturizer and, sometimes, some shine). I discovered this one a while ago and it seemed like a good option. Now that the cold is coming, we should always have our lips protected and hydrated.
Nespresso Pumpkin Spice Cake Coffee Pods - I'm not a coffee drinker at all, it always makes me very nervous and anxious. But I admit that these capsules made me very curious.
Massimo Dutti mules in croute - I fell in love as soon as I saw these mules. I think they're a great complement to a more formal or non-formal outfit, and if I knew they were comfortable I would definitely buy them.
Now it’s finally time to go over what I’ve been doing, listening, reading, eating, wanting and watching.
Doing: Unfortunately, I still continue to apply for internships and jobs. However, because anxiety has been overwhelming me, I went back to my appointments with my psychologist yesterday. She is very sweet and understanding and made me realize that I have been neglecting myself a lot in the last few months and that I need to get back to doing things that make me happy and feel good to improve. This is also a little reminder for you to take care of yourselves and always make time for yourself (whether to read, listen to music, go for a walk, write or draw). Take care of yourself, it's important!
Listening: Even in this part of my life I have neglected myself. I love listening to music and I haven't heard anything other than those excerpts from videos on Tiktok. This coming week, I hope to have time to catch up on everything: journaling and listening to music (very necessary).
Reading: Good news is that I finally managed to get out of my reading slump. A friend of mine suggested I read "Twisted Games" and I loved it and read it in less than two days. After that, I went straight to "Twisted Lies" and I loved it too. I know that the books are part of a series, but these were the plots that captivated me the most and it is super easy to read without having the context of the others (they are a series, but they can be read as standalones). Now I'm reading "The Deepest End of Love", by Lisina Coney, and it's incredible! If I'm not mistaken, I rated the other two in the series with five stars, but I think this one deserves more than five if what I’m reading is any indication (if that were possible on Goodreads). This is the last book in the series and it’s giving everything!
Eating: I haven't been eating anything very special, but I've been trying to eat more balanced and I have been eating tangerines, which appeared earlier this year!
Wanting: After the wishlist I showed you, I have nothing else to put here. But on a note of taking better care of myself, and even before having my appointment yesterday, I had already ordered a coloring book with autumnal vibes from Amazon and it arrived today! It's super cute and I can't wait to get started. I just haven't decided yet whether I'm going to color with colored pencils or markers.
Watching: I haven’t been watching anything on YouTube, but here I leave you with the latest videos from the vloggers I follow. The only thing I've seen are a few episodes from the most recent season of Married At First Sight Australia from 2024. I can't explain to you how much this show keeps me glued to the screen!
That’s all for today, I hope you liked it!
See you next week,
Carlota <3
Loved the wishlist 🤍
