Hello everyone, happy Thursday!
It's been a chaotic few days and that’s why I was only able to post today, but I hope the wait is worth it.
October passed in a blink of an eye and, honestly, I don't know where all this time is going.
The vibe is to save beautiful and inspirational images on my Instagram saved ones.
Today I'm walking you trough my October favorites and my November goals.
My favorites of the month included journaling (and searching for inspiration to do it, I'll talk about it in the what I've been doing section; “The Secret of Us (Deluxe)”, by Gracie Abrams; this lip balm from Caudalie (my lips love it); the Zara app (I have an endless cart made there) and Pinterest (the best app for inspiration and curating your dream life).
Many of my favorites, and monthly goals (which I'll tell you about in a moment), are almost always the same. Sometimes it's because the months are busy and I can't have a very big list, other times it's because they're things that I really like. In the case of my goals, they have been repeating themselves because they are things that I want to achieve and have not yet achieved or I am not yet consistent with them (in the case of the habits that I want to adopt for my routines).
In fact, and to be honest, I'm a pretty simple girl and it doesn't take much to make it onto my favorites list.
Regarding my goals for November, these can be summarized as: getting an internship (this goal, unfortunately, is more than repeated), eating healthier and drinking more water, reading consistently (I either read every day or spend weeks without reading) and publish the newsletter every week.
In November I really want to focus on myself and my physical and mental health. As I told you, I'm back to seeing my psychologist and I want to focus on the exercises she asks me to do to work on myself and my anxiety. My mental space has seen better days, but I hope that the routines and everything I want to do this month will help me improve. I'm bringing updates and I want to make more posts on this topic, because I believe that a lot of people can relate, so stay there.
I would also like to take this opportunity to tell you that, starting this week, the newsletter will be published on Sundays. I love Tuesdays and that's why I decided to start publishing on this day - and because it was on my birthday when I published the first one - but my weeks have been chaotic, so it's preferable for me to publish on Sunday and know that I am not failing you by not publishing on the scheduled day, as happened this week.
Now it’s finally time to go over what I’ve been doing, listening, reading, eating, wanting and watching.
Doing: I've been taking the opportunity to catch up on my journaling and I've been loving it. I've been doing Eli Rallo's Notebook November challenge and I'm loving it. If you want to start journaling, or if it's already something you do, her daily prompts have been amazing and I've been writing a lot. Besides that, I've been trying to read a little bit every day.
Listening: I admit that the only thing I've been listening to is the radio in the car while I'm driving. But while I'm at home doing my chores the only song that's on loop in my head is "that's so true", by Gracie Abrams (it's been repeated in recent weeks, but it's really incredible) .
Reading: I’m still reading "The Striker" by Ana Huang. I love her writing and plots, but it's been difficult for me to finish this book. I've been having a hard time getting into a rhythm, but this week I've gotten a good head start and I hope to finish by tomorrow.
Eating: My meals have all been pretty standard, but I wanted to make a special mention of the pizzas I had for dinner today. They are from a place near my city and the dough is very soft and crunchy at the same time, if that makes sense, and the toppings are very tasty. It's not the healthiest option, but after the day I had today, I deserved it.
Wanting: I haven't added anything to my wishlist, but as soon as there are new additions you will be the first to know.
Watching: My favorite YouTubers haven't been posting, so these are the only videos I'll watch in the next few days. Furthermore, I want to continue watching "Tell Me Lies" and start watching "The Rivals".
That’s all for today, I hope you liked it!
See you on Sunday,
Carlota <3
I’ll stay there for the mental updates notes, keep courage and be soft to yourself, the pizza was so surely deserved.
